US Bank in Ohio, with the help of Jesse Wright of national distributor Gexpro, consulted with EMA to upgrade their existing interior lighting of their bank floor due to the difficulty in maintaining their current lighting system. Their existing fixtures are mounted 20 feet high and are required to provide superior illumination for the bank tellers and customers. The high cost of replacing lamps was an issue that EMA overcame by providing 200W Induction interior 2x2 fixtures.
With EMA's 200W Induction, we delivered 16,000 lumens per fixture with our 5000k temperature and the 100,000 hour rated life of our fixtures eliminate maintenance costs for the next decade or longer. The energy savings were minimal at 20% but the elimination of maintenance was the dirving factor. In addition, our induction lamps provide "instant on" capability that protects the bank from power surges unlike the existing HID lighting system, which requires 15 minutes to warm up.
EMA would like to thank Jesse Wright with Gexpro for his guidance and professionalism during this project.
